The ABC’s of Kissing | Closeup

Attraction
You can’t kiss someone you aren’t into (unless you’re playing a game of Spin the Bottle, but that’s a story for another day. Before anything ever happens, you must be attracted to each other. Because after the attraction, your mind runs wild with thoughts of spending time together and getting closer to them. And it can only happen if there’s an initial zing. You don’t even have to say much, but your body language and eye contact will speak for itself.

Breath
Think of breathing as a fun cheerleading song from a Bring it On movie. The freshest addition of choreography will make everyone enjoy it. It’s the same with breath – the fresher it is, the better it will be when you’re with someone. But in order for it to be fresh, you must know how to cure bad breath. The only solution is brushing your teeth with a minty toothpaste. Fresh breath is a major turn on and will boost your confidence. Keep a few breath mints or sugar-free gum on hand to refresh your mouth after a meal.

Closeness
Time. To. Make. Your. Move. You’ve clicked, now what? Nothing should stop you from getting your closeup with your crush. In fact, we encourage it! You’re attracted to each other; your breath smells breezy…now it’s time to get close. Don’t force it. Just find a gap to get near your crush and take it from there. Your lips will touch, eventually.

There’s more to kissing than meets the eye. Like some of the best things in life, it’s about the journey, not the destination.
